In pai Gow players are dealt a total of 7 cards of which 2 hands need to be made a meek one and the other one strong...
Pai Gow poker is a hybrid game developed originally from the traditional Asian game that is played with tiles similar to dominos however, with the use of standard playing cards and the ranking of hands based on poker.
The objective of this simple but exciting game is to create 2 hands that beat the dealers hands.
Pai Gow poker rules
Pai Gow poker is played with a standard 52 card deck and a joker that acts as a wild card. The joker can be used to complete a Flush, Straight, Straight Flush and Royal Flush. At all other times the joker is used as an Ace. Some casinos may also consider the Ace as completely wild.
Players are dealt a total of 7 cards of which 2 hands need to be made; a 5 card hand and a 2 card hand. When setting up your hands, the five card hand must be a higher value than the 2 card hand. For instance, should a player receive 2 pairs of Queens and Jacks, then the Jacks will have to be used in the 2 card hand and the Queens in the 5 card hand.
Playing Pai Gow poker
To begin with each person at the table places their bet. 7 cards are then dealt to each player. In order to win, both of the players hands need to beat that of the dealers.
If one of your hands beats the dealers and one deos not, then it is considered a push and there are no winners, however take note that some casinos count a tie as a house win.
